MAKING TIME
Oct 16, 2025 - Nov 9, 2025 | On view at Parsons School of Design
Co-curated by Molly Davy and Shannon Finnell with curatorial and programming assistance from Gummy Nichols, Making Time is the first all Parsons Staff exhibition that reflects on how we carve out space for creativity amidst the immediacy of daily responsibilities, deadlines, and institutional demands through sculpture, painting, photography, textiles, writing, design, and interdisciplinary forms. The group exhibition includes works by Gabriela Awad, Hannah Baker, teke cocina, Curt Confer, Luke Alan Davis, Ella Desmond, Emma Fashing, Lacie Garnes, Tanner Gauvin, María del Mar Hernández Gil de Lamadrid, Kasia Hope, Joe Hosking, Jillian Hurley, Walker Keith Jernigan, Casey Kaufman, Sivan Knowler, Deirdre McConnell, Sam Morrison, Lauren Phillips, Jasmin Risk, S. PhaFa Roy, Jackie Slanley, Alec Snow, Jordon Ruth Soper, Megan Stroech, Eva Warne, Leah Wolff, Dillon Yruegas, and Jonathan Yubi.
The exhibition also acknowledges the vital role of staff within the life of the university. By placing their creative work at the center, Making Time foregrounds voices that are too often absent from institutional memory, while opening up space for dialogue, recognition, and connection across departments.
Making Time invites the community to reconnect with creativity—whether returning to long-held practices, presenting new work for the first time, or discovering unexpected friendships and collaborations through the act of sharing.
